The following letter was sent to the Toronto Star:
I was surprised that Star highlighted the Muslim religion of ex-MP Rahim Jaffer. He was arrested allegedly drunk and in possession of illegal cocaine. Not withstanding the fact that no self respecting Muslim would consume items mentioned above any time, let alone in the holy month of Ramadan. All through his tenure in parliament he did not once raised his concern on Muslim issues such as Omar Khadr, Maher Arar, war in Afghanistan and war on terror. He was in fact the poster child of tories; a Muslim and of color, a decoration as a front bencher. He even got the girl. But he did nothing of importance for Muslims. So why does Star make such a fuss about a religion he was born in.
