Description

MuslimServ regards local Partners as the vital link to bring its programs to distant locations. This relationship is based of transparency, openness and full disclosure from both sides. Partners will have full autonomy over agreed functions in their jurisdictions. MuslimServ on its part agrees to provide services, and products such as sacrificial meat and halal chickens. The governing principle shall be that money raised in the area shall be used in that area. All financial data (except proprietary information) for the area will be made available to the Partners.
This document lays down the details of the Partnership agreement.

1. Purpose of the Partnership
The purpose of the partnership is:

  • Raise high the name of Islam through service
  • To provide local Muslims opportunity to participate in Islamic requirements such as Eid al-Adha sacrifices, and channeling of Zakat, Sadaqa, Khairat towards food for the hungry in the local community.
  • To highlight Islam and Muslims in positive light in press and community

2. Jurisdiction of the Partnership
Partnership shall be confined to a geographical area such as a city, district, province etc.

3. Term of the Partnership
Once agreed the term is for indefinite period, until any one of the party decides to terminate the arrangement.

4. Who is eligible to become a Partner

  • Any Muslim individual residing in the area
  • Any Muslim organization with local structure, man power resources etc

5. Multiple Partners in the same area

  • There can be any numbers of Partners in a particular area. Each agreement will be between MuslimServ and the local party. MuslimServ will consult with other existing Partners, but the final decision shall be that of MuslimServ.
  • All Partners in a particular area shall decide among themselves, various local functions and roles. MuslimServ will keep contact with the persons, thus identified, for operation in the territory.

6. Responsibility of MuslimServ
Donations & Expenses

  • MuslimServ shall raise donations through internet, telephone or by regular mail. Only MuslimServ shall collect donations. Local Partners will not be authorized to collect money or handle cash on behalf of MuslimServ.
  • To spend monies raised in the area locally on the projects it operates

Products & Services

  • To provide Eid sacrificial meat in a cost effective manner, from local or nearby suppliers.
  • MuslimServ shall sign contract with suppliers, keeping governmental regulation, hygiene and public safety into consideration.
  • MuslimServ shall make arrangement with local Food Bank to receive and distribute meat.
  • MuslimServ shall liaise with Partners with regards to the delivery of meat to the food bank.
  • MuslimServ shall provide Partners Media Kit, Press Release, etc to highlight Islam.

Financial Clarity

  • MuslimServ shall provide full account of money raised locally, spending by projects and others expenses incurred locally.
  • MuslimServ shall set budget for local advertising and will spend it on the media chosen by the partners.
  • MuslimServ shall, if it so chooses, retain up to a maximum of 10% of monies raised locally for overhead, expansion cost to other locations etc.

Reorganization of Honoring of the Partners

  • MuslimServ shall establish a page per area on its web site. Each Partner in that area shall be identified and their services recognized. Each Partner will be able to add photographs, write-ups or any other item in order to honor people who have made the difference.

7. Responsibility of Partner

Local publicity in Muslim community

  • Partner shall publicize MuslimServ projects, through its own network, among Muslim community.
  • Partner shall actively help MuslimServ in preparation of advertising plan. It will identify media, advertiser, type of advertisements, and their durations. If the items such as flyers need to be locally printed, then Partner, after consultation with MuslimServ, print it and make payment. He present original invoice to MuslimServ for reimbursement.

Media Relations and Glorification of Islam

  • Upon delivery of meat, the Partner shall garner as much publicity as possible for Islam. In this connection, MuslimServ shall help by providing Media Kit, pro forma Media release, photographs, promotional literature etc.
  • Partner shall NOT in any manner speak for, purport to be part of MuslimServ. He shall speak in his own capacity only as Partner of MuslimServ.
